Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 16 June 2026

1. Our commitment

My Asset Safe is for everyone planning for the people who matter to them, so it has to work for everyone. We are committed to making our website and application accessible to as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation.

2. Standard we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These guidelines are organised around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. We treat AA as the baseline for new features rather than a target to reach later.

3. What we have done

  • Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
  • Form fields have visible, associated labels, and errors are described in text rather than colour alone.
  • We aim for a colour contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for body text against its background.
  • Pages have a logical heading structure so screen-reader users can navigate by headings.
  • The layout reflows for small screens and remains usable when text is enlarged up to 200 per cent.
  • Focus is kept visible, and dialogs return focus to a sensible place when they close.

4. Known limitations

We are honest about where we still have work to do. We are actively improving these areas:

  • Some charts and visual breakdowns need richer text alternatives for non-visual users.
  • A small number of older components do not yet announce dynamic updates to assistive technologies.
  • We have not yet completed a full independent audit against every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion.

5. Getting help and giving feedback

If you find something that is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us. We treat accessibility problems as bugs and aim to respond within five working days. Email us at hello@myassetsafe.com and describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using.

6. Enforcement

If you are not happy with how we respond to your feedback, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on rights under the Equality Act 2010.

7. Review

We review this statement whenever we ship significant changes, and at least once a year, so it keeps pace with the product. The "Last updated" date above always shows the current version.
